Hi Dr. L. Clarke: I'm still not clear what you're trying to achieve. Is this demo document with the linked/embedded video just being used as a mock-up of your web site for the person building your site, or are you going to use it as a sample document (e.g., a mock newsletter) that can be used for testing downloads from your website while it's being built?
What software are you using to create this demo document on your Win 10 v1903 machine, and are you inserting a link to an online video (e.g., using Insert | Online Video in MS Word 2016) or trying to embed a video file inside the document (e.g., using Adobe Acrobat Pro to embed a .MOV video file into a PDF file as described in the Adobe support article Add Audio, Video, and Interactive Objects to PDFs - see comments about Playback Style and the "Play Content In Floating Window" setting that allows the video to run in a floating widow while the user is reading the page). Any suggestions we might have will depend on the software you're using to create this document.
If the location of the video changes as you scroll through the document you might need to change the anchor for the placeholder. If you used MS Word to create the document, for example, ensure File | Options | Display | Object Anchors is enabled and see the How-To Geek article How to Position Images and Other Objects in Microsoft Word about the difference between the âMove Object With Textâ and âLock Anchorâ options.
_______________________________________ As for your WiFi connection problem with your Dell OptiPlex 755 running Vista SP2, what is the antivirus and default browser on this machine, and do you have the latest recommended driver for your wireless adapter? I don't know if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit OS or what wireless adapter your OptiPlex desktop uses (check in the Windows Device Manager under Network Adapters) but I live in Canada and the Driver & Downloads tab on the Dell support page at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ca/product-support/product/optiplex-755/drivers indicates most OptiPlex 755 desktops sold in Canada come with a Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini Card (latest certified driver version 5.10.38.26_A2 3 released 08-Jan-2014). Enter the Service Tag for your OptiPlex 755 and that should recommend the latest certified driver for your wireless adapter.
This might be unrelated to your WiFi connection problem, but please note that there is a known issue with Vista SP2 computers where Windows Update can fail to run to completion and result in high CPU consumption that goes on for hours (or even days), resulting in poor system performance and unexpected glitches.
This problem started around August 2015, and if you run a manual Windows Update (Control Panel | System and Maintenance | Windows Update | Check for Updates) and Windows Update seems to get stuck on "Checking for updates..." for more than 20 or 30 minutes see the VistaForums FAQ How to Fix Vista SP2 "Checking for Updates..." Hangs and Slow Windows Updates for more information. 32-bit Vista Home Premium SP2 * Firefox ESR v52.9.0 * Malwarebytes Premium v3.5.1-1.0.365
